The STAR-Switch Quad is a battery-powered, four-button wireless switch from Safiery's STAR digital switching range — a control point you can mount anywhere on a vehicle, camper, or boat without running a wire back to the panel. Each button is custom-engraved for what it operates, and a blue LED confirms status at a glance. It pairs over long-range Bluetooth to a STAR-Power, STAR-Light, or STAR-Rover controller — one of three modes those controllers run simultaneously, alongside CAN/NMEA and Matter WiFi. Needing no cable back to the backbone, the Quad suits positions where a CAN home-run is impractical, or where you want to reposition a switch later without re-wiring — unlike the CAN-wired IC8 and SP8 keypads, which need a cable run, or the STAR-Switch Custom, built to take hardwired inputs rather than act as a switch itself. In the same family, the SP4-12V-Supply switch trades battery power for a 12V feed specifically so its backlight stays lit continuously; the Quad runs on its own battery instead, needing no wiring at all. The numbers matter in practice. Each switch pairs to a unique Bluetooth UUID — one of 2^128 possible addresses — and the controller only responds to that specific switch once paired, so a Quad won't cross-trigger a neighbour's STAR system in a caravan park or marina. Up to 80 wireless switches can run on one STAR system, so several Quads can be spread around a build without hitting a capacity ceiling. Up to 6 buttons can be linked to drive one channel together, and repeated presses on a single button step between two channels — press once for channel A, twice for B, three times to fire both — the method used to run dual-colour white/amber lighting from one switch. Bluetooth range is roughly 40m.
