STAR-Switch Custom takes the STAR range's logic in a different direction to every other device in the family: instead of switching loads, it reads switches. Six wired inputs accept independent switches that you already have, wired either as 12V-high — the switch's own LED lights up when triggered — or switched to ground, and each input can be set to latch or respond momentarily. Safiery calls it a "controller in reverse": rather than driving outputs directly, it runs those six inputs through five programmable logic blocks — AND, NAND, OR, NOR, LINK — and broadcasts the result wirelessly to the controller running the rest of the system. It's also cross-listed with Safiery's STAR-Tank radar sensors and integrates with Victron. That's built for 4WD builders and OEMs — Safiery's own line for it is "clever 4WD users and OEMs" — who want conditional logic added to switches they already have, without wiring those switches straight into a controller's output channels. Its fusing spec reflects that role: a 2.5mm² minimum wire and 10A maximum fuse, far lighter than the load-switching STAR-Power (16mm² / 150A) or STAR-Light (8mm² / 50A), because this device only carries low-current input signalling, not load current. At 70 x 55 x 22mm with the plug on its side, and a mounting orientation Safiery's own spec table lists simply as "Hidden," it's built to be tucked out of sight behind a panel rather than mounted somewhere visible. Setup follows the same method as the rest of the range: hold the front button for 10 seconds until the LED shows blue, then join its own WiFi network — SSID "STARCUSTOM" — from a smartphone to configure inputs and logic.
