Quasar Temperature Sensor to minus 30C

A sealed Bluetooth temperature sensor that sits inside the fridge, freezer or esky and sends the temperature straight to your Quasar Glass display, Quasar ONE or Quasar Master. No wiring, no hub and no pairing app. It reads down to minus 30C. Stick it in place, add it to your Quasar setup once, and it reports for around two years on its built-in battery.

What it does on board Shows the live temperature of every fridge, freezer and icebox on the Quasar Glass display and in the Quasar app Raises an alert when a fridge warms past the limit you set, or a freezer starts to thaw. The alarm is raised on the boat, so it works with no internet connection Keeps the temperature history in the Quasar ONE and Quasar Master vessel record, so a tired compressor or a door left ajar shows up as a trend, not a surprise Reports its own battery level with every reading, and Quasar warns when it is time to replace the sensor Built for a marine galley Sealed to IP67, so frost, condensation and wash downs do not affect it Rated from -30 °C to 60 °C, from a deep freezer to a drinks fridge in a hot cockpit Accurate to ±0.3 °C or better across the fridge and freezer range Credit card size, 7 g, held in place by its adhesive pad How it connects The sensor broadcasts a temperature reading every few seconds over Bluetooth Low Energy. Every Quasar Glass display, Quasar ONE and Quasar Master is a receiver, so no extra hardware is needed. Each sensor has its own unique address and is added to the vessel’s Quasar setup once. Range is up to 85 m in open air. Cabinet walls and bulkheads shorten this, so place the sensor within reach of the nearest Quasar receiver, ideally in the same cabin or compartment. Fitting Stick the sensor to a shelf or the cabinet wall, away from the evaporator plate and clear of the door seal One sensor per cabinet. Fit a second to a separate freezer or icebox The battery is sealed to keep the IP67 rating, so the sensor is replaced as a unit when it runs down, after around two years at default settings Specifications Measures Temperature Measurement range -30 °C to 60 °C Accuracy ±0.3 °C or better from -30 °C to 40 °C Reading interval Every 10 seconds (default), adjustable Wireless Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0, broadcast every 5 seconds (default) Range Up to 85 m line of sight; 35 to 85 m in sub-zero conditions Works with Quasar Glass, Quasar ONE, Quasar Master Ingress protection IP67 Operating temperature -30 °C to 60 °C Battery Sealed coin cell, about 2 years at default settings, replaced as a unit Size 49 × 30 × 5 mm Weight 7 g Mounting Double-sided adhesive pad Standards CE, FCC; meets EN 12830 for temperature recorders used with chilled and frozen food
