A phase-coherent multi-radar and lidar sensor that lets vessels dock themselves using a quasar master controller The system uses several radar units mounted around the hull. They share a common clock, so they work together as one larger antenna. This gives accurate distance, angle, and closing speed to the berth, including in poor visibility. Lidar adds a high-precision 3D view at close range. It picks out pontoon edges, piles, and fenders. The Quasar master controller combines both sensors and weights them based on how each is performing in the conditions. It drives compatible thruster and propulsion systems over CAN or NMEA 2000, holds the approach path, and compensates for wind and current within the vessel's thrust limits.
