Electric Boats – Request for Quote – GC Boat Builder

Safiery released RFQ for Gold Coast Boat Builders considering electric propulsion for recreational boats

Electric Boats for Recreation - Visit the Zero4ever.com website to Learn More

This is a Request for Quotation for a Gold Coast based Boat Builder to build a 6-7m boat for Safiery.

Safiery wll develop a commercially viable electric propulsion package for boat builders by providing a proven affordable electric propulsion system to them.

  • Boat builders do what they are really good at... and, in whatever form suits their expertise.
  • Safiery, together with Bosch can supply a proven integrated electric propulsion system that has the best range and performance for a 6-7m electric boat in the world.
  • Safiery are introducing their exciting new Lithium Solid State Technology at the 400V level. It will feature technology that allows a completely redundant pair of battery trains to operate.

To validate this concept, we are building a "reference boat" fully fitted out and will log the performance results.

This will give selected boat builders the weight distribution, expected performance and other design characteristics to enable them to build affordable boats.

The reference sample boat is named "ZERO4EVER". The boat will be a plain "wrapper". It's what's inside we are focussing on.

The Gold Coast can be the leader in electric propulsion recreational boats. The 400kms of waterways and 40,000 existing recreational boats creates the opportunity to do this.

Project aims to position Gold Coast as leader in electric boat propulsion.

SOLID STATE TECHNOLOGY

Proven System Integration

Partnering with Bosch Engineering, these electric boats will have automotive proven system integration between the power system and the 400V Lithium Battery.

We are seeking a qualified boat builder based in the Gold Coast to construct a 6 to 7-meter boat designed to integrate with Bosch's 120kW electric propulsion platform. Safiery have partnered with Bosch Engineering in Germany for this new Division. This project is an exciting opportunity to showcase the performance of electric propulsion technology in everyday recreational boating.

Supported by the Gold Coast Council, we aim to distribute knowledge and promote sustainable boating practices within the community.

An open conference will be held to discuss project details, where all interested boat builders are invited to attend. This RFP outlines the project requirements, scope of work, and submission guidelines for prospective boat builders.

An open conference will be held with this Agenda:

Beverages and snacks will be served upon arrival. Partners are welcome to attend.
