Power Case 12V Bunker
Summary
Product Name
Safiery Powercase 12V Bunker
Overview
The Powercase 12V Bunker is a high-capacity 12V battery storage and monitoring unit designed for vehicle use.
Itβs housed in a heavy-duty IP67 waterproof enclosure and protects a Safiery Solid State 12V lithium battery.
The battery offers high energy density and a long service life, rated up to 10,000 cycles.
How it works
The unit is designed to be plug-and-play.
- One Anderson input for charging
- Two Anderson outputs to run multiple 12V loads at the same time, such as a fridge or camp lighting
Battery status is monitored by a Victron BMV-712 Smart Monitor.
It uses a smart shunt to provide accurate, real-time data on the front display or via Bluetooth using the VictronConnect app.
A Victron Smart BatteryProtect is integrated to manage load isolation and low-voltage protection.
Use case
The Powercase can be charged while the vehicle is running, then unplugged and used as a portable 12V power source at camp or on-site.
System Configuration

Important Installation Notes
Charger advisory
The Powercase is a battery storage and monitoring unit only.
It does not include an internal DC-DC charger.
An external 12V-12V DC-DC charger must already be installed in the vehicle.
Wiring, voltage drop, and voltage lock-out
High-current charging requires correctly sized cabling for the full length of the run.
Keep the following in mind:
Voltage drop
Undersized wiring can cause voltage drop.
This reduces charging efficiency and may stop the battery from reaching full charge.
Voltage lock-out
External DC-DC chargers operate using defined voltage thresholds.
When the engine is running, alternator voltage allows the charger to turn on and charge according to the batteryβs set charge and float limits.
Automatic isolation
When the engine is switched off, system voltage drops.
The DC-DC charger shuts down automatically, and the Smart BatteryProtect isolates loads if voltage falls below safe levels.
This prevents discharge of both the Powercase and the vehicleβs starter battery.
