Quasar Glass Control puts twelve switched channels on real glass. One STAR-Light V2 controller (12 x 10 A, dimmable, fuseless, wireless), one Quasar Glass 4 panel (4-inch Android touchscreen) and one Quasar Glass Router (dual-band Wi-Fi and 4G in a Quasar anodised case) leave our bench already paired to each other on the kit's own private network, with a quick-start card carrying one QR code. Mount and wire them as you would any digital switching system, with the router and controller on your always-on circuit, power up in any order, and within about a minute the glass shows every channel live: twelve tiles across three swipe pages, press and hold to dim, scenes on a long press. Monitor everything, control Safiery: add your Victron Smart products later and the glass reads them from their Bluetooth broadcasts, read-only. There is no hub, no gateway and nothing that needs the internet. The free Quasar Glass App (Android 10 and iOS 15 or later) puts the same tiles on your phone, locally over the kit's 5 GHz network or remotely through the router's 4G once a SIM is fitted. Every option attaches to this package and the screen gains the page automatically: STAR-Tank radar tank sensors, Ruuvi temperature and air-quality sensors, a STAR-Rover-4 CAN peer for tyre pressure, incline and Safiery solid-state batteries, extra Quasar Glass panels with roles, dual-band cameras and wireless STAR switches. Victron read from Bluetooth is monitored, not controlled; with a Cerbo GX the glass controls inverter/charger mode and the AC input current limit. Full Victron control with conversation is the Quasar ONE upgrade. Router supplied subject to regulatory approval in each market.

About this product

There is no hub, no gateway and nothing that needs the internet. The router hosts the kit's own private network - STAR controllers on 2.4 GHz, panels and cameras on 5 GHz - with a unique password every device already carries, so there is nothing to pair, nothing to configure and nothing to type. A power cut, a router restart or a swapped controller and every device finds its way back by itself.

Every option attaches to this package and the screen gains the page automatically: STAR-Tank radar level sensors for tanks, Ruuvi sensors for temperature and air, a STAR-Rover-4 CAN peer for tyres, incline and Safiery batteries, extra panels with roles and dual-band cameras for video, and wireless STAR switches that the screen reflects press for press.

Three parts, already introduced to each other

The STAR-Light, the Quasar Glass 4 panel and the Quasar Glass Router leave our bench already on the same private network, with a quick-start card carrying one QR code. Mount and wire them as you would any digital switching system - the router and the controller on your always-on circuit - power up in any order, and within about a minute the controller's Wi-Fi light turns solid cyan and the glass shows every channel, live.

Twelve tiles, three pages, scenes on a long press

The 4-inch Android panel runs three swipeable pages, each a 2 x 2 grid - twelve tiles for twelve channels, one page per zone. Tiles show confirmed state, not a guess: press and hold to dim, long-press for scenes such as camp, drive and all-off. Panels take roles - galley, dash, bed - and you can add more of them later, each on the kit's 5 GHz network.

Dual-band Wi-Fi and 4G in a Quasar anodised case

The Quasar Glass Router hosts two Wi-Fi networks - 2.4 GHz for the STAR controllers, 5 GHz for panels and cameras - plus a 4G card fitted for your region and a SIM holder. Five Gigabit Ethernet ports take a Victron Cerbo GX or a wired camera. It runs from 9 to 36 V DC, restores its Safiery configuration after a factory reset, and if it ever stops the STAR raises its own network with the same credentials so the screens carry on. Install the Quasar Glass App, scan the QR code on the quick-start card, tap Join - the panel hands your phone the kit's Wi-Fi credentials over Bluetooth, so the only credential you ever handle is a QR code. Questions

Do I need internet for it to work?

No. The whole system runs on its own network in a caravan, on a boat or in a shed with no signal. Add a SIM to the router whenever you want internet on board or remote access from the app; nothing else changes.

What do I have to configure?

Nothing to pair and nothing to type. The kit has its own private Wi-Fi with a unique password and every device in the box already carries it. Naming channels and assigning switches is done from your phone after you scan the QR code on the kit card, or we do it for you with the AI Configuration Service.

Can it show my existing Victron gear?

Yes, read-only. Turn on Instant Readout in VictronConnect, copy the product's encryption key once into the glass, and its tile appears: battery percentage, volts and amps, solar watts, charger state. The glass never changes a Victron setting.

Can I control my Victron inverter from the screen?

Not over Bluetooth, which is listen-only. With a Cerbo GX connected to the router by Ethernet, the glass controls inverter/charger mode and the AC input current limit - the same control set Victron gives its own displays. Full Victron control with conversation is the Quasar ONE upgrade.

How many tanks, cameras or panels can I add?

Options attach to this package and each adds a page: one STAR-Tank per tank, extra Quasar Glass panels with their own roles, and dual-band cameras that flip the nearest screen when you reverse. Order them against your kit code and they are paired at the bench.

Does it work with Apple Home or Google Home?

Yes. The STAR-Light runs Matter, so its channels appear in Apple Home and Google Home. The Quasar Glass App adds everything the glass shows that those ecosystems cannot - Victron, tanks, cameras, air and tyres.
