Safiery’s Meteor Batteries Give Detailed Diagnostics
You normally don’t need to see these details, but they are exceptionally valuable after accidentally totally discharging a lithium battery. Why? When there are multiple lithium batteries connected in parallel and they have been totally discharged, the internal resistance of each battery will not be the same. When a charge is applied to recover the batteries, one or more individual batteries may pick up all the charge leaving one of more still discharged. If this isn’t spotted early enough and the the battery that hasn’t accepted charged is forced to start after the other batteries are close to fully charged, it may received a high current from the other batteries and blow the BMS. The BMS in this case is perfectly correct in doing this as an extremely high current may otherwise cause a thermal runaway. The good news is it’s safe, the bad news is it’s a new BMS or battery. Now with Safiery’s Meteor battery, you (and Safiery on Gold Support) can see exactly if the cells are balanced when charging. To do this required some fundamental BMS changes. We had to design the BMS to operate at a much lower voltage so it is still running when batteries are flat. Then you see Delta Cell voltages and Delta Cell temperatures giving everyone the peace of mind of both Safety and protecting their investment.
This is just one of the new features in Safiery’s Meteor Lithium Battery. Available in 24V, 36V and 48V. We have taken our experience from installing over 1,600 48V Lithium to develop the absolute best CAN-BMS battery in the market. The top 5 features of this battery are: 1) Waterproof 2) Plug-n-play 3) Remote on/off 4) Plus Scotty AI Meteor on for instant 12V utility and 12V DC DC charging 5) Detail display of Cell Diagnostics on #Victronenergy Cerbo . #howgoodsthat #traveltheworld #liveinaworld #withoutconsumingtheearth #Scotty #48V #lithium #integrated #dualvoltagesystem #ram1500 #LC300 #LC200 #RAM2500 #lc79 #ranger #zoneRV #JBcaravans #lotus #caravan #offgrid #fordranger #dyness

48V Lithium or Sodium IP 66 Pluggable Battery.
Lithium is 2355Wh. Sodium is 1700Wh.
Sodium is safe and good for - 30C. Sodium discharges up to 3C but is limited by BMS of 50A.
36V Lithium Available.
Run trolling motor battery as single house battery on fishing boat. Runs new Garmin 2400W Trolling Motor.
This is a true plug-n-play battery system with no external terminals visible. It is IP 67 from head to tail. As a result it can be placed virtually anywhere that doesn’t get external impacts.
Up to 5 batteries can be plugged togther with a positive plug connection one end and a negative at the other end.
There is both a 36V or 48V bus plus a 12V bus inside along with the negative bus.
Each bus has a rating of 150A continuous, 250A burst surge.
There are up to 2 mega fuses located inside the positive end cap. One fuse for the 48V or 36V power, the other is for 12V when the optional Scotty AI M is installed.
48v Lithium
48V Lithium
2,355Wh Capacity (12V @200Ah is 2400Wh)
CAN BMS at 50A
Victron Cerbo Compatible on VE.CAN interface. Battery is fixed at 250baud rate CAN BMS.
Max Continuous Charge Rate is o.5C so about 1200W
Max Continous Discharge is 1C so about 2400W per battery.
So for 2 batteries, it is 4800W.
For 3 batteries plugged together, it is 7,200W Discharge and 3.600W Charge. Perfectly suits Multiplus II 48/5000 or Multir RS 6000VA
48v Sodium
48V Sodium
Charges from -10C. Discharges from -30C
No thermal Runaway, Safe in IP67 Case.
1,700Wh (33Ah at 48V) Capacity. CAN BMS at 50A
Victron Cerbo Compatible on VE.CAN interface. Battery is fixed at 250baud rate CAN BMS.
Max Continuous Charge Rate is 23A so about 1200W
Max Continuous Discharge is 3C but BMS has limit of 50AÂ so about 2400W
Caution on the voltage range: Absorb voltage is 63V and the lowest voltage for 90% usable is 38V. This suits Victron 48V Multi RS, Multiplus II and Quattro Inverter/Chargers.
36v Lithium
36V Lithium
2355Wh about 55Ah Capacity
CAN BMS at 60A
Victron Cerbo Compatible on VE.CAN interface. Battery is fixed at 250baud rate CAN BMS.
Max Continuous Charge Rate is o.5C so about 1200W
Max Continuous Discharge is BMS 60A so about 2400W
SCOTTY AI M
The Meteor Battery (either 36V or 48V Lithium of Sodium can have the optional Scotty AI M module plugged into the positive end of the battery set.
It connects directly to the 12V bus and Mega-fuse (if fitted).
The power conversion is bi-directional. If the 12V connection is made to the engine alternator capable of 150A then up to 125A of DC DC charged will automatically charge any of the Meteor batteries.
If the engine alternator is less than 150A, don’t be concerned. Scotty AI uses its AI to auto-tune to any alternator. Its has soft, medium and hard selectors for charging at idle if being used as solar backup.
The 12V connection can also be routed to all of the on-board 12V loads for 24/7 12V power available (proving the 36V/48V Meteor have sufficient capacity).
Meteor Positive Plug
Robust IP67 US Military Grade Plug.
The critical component for a plug n nplay system is the connector. Each of the sockets for this connector are gold plated, spring fitted and rated to 150A continuous.
The Connector has a rubber gasket seal around the plug with a tight 30mm push fit.
There are 2 RJ45 connections, one for CAN based communication and one for searial communications to batteries placed side by side.
This comparison table is a guide only. Each specific battery have their exact parameters.
