Scotty Ai is compliant and assists Victron Power Systems as the most powerful DC DC available

Scotty AI is fully Victron compliant and appears as an “Alternator” on the Victron One Touch Display with Alternator temperature available in the Victron Environment window. It appears on the Victron Device List. It is the most powerfull DC DC available globally to assist Victron systems with charging and multiple voltage conversion.

Finally, a DC DC Charger Built for Modern Alternators

If you’ve watched a smart alternator struggle under the sudden load of a conventional dcdc charger, you already know the problem. Binary on/off operation slams full power demand onto your vehicle’s alternator the moment conditions allow—no ramp-up, no thermal awareness, no intelligence. The result is premature alternator failure, blown regulators, and charging systems that never reach their potential.

In contrast to AC-DC chargers, which rely on mains power and are typically used when shore power is available, DC-DC chargers draw power directly from your vehicle’s alternator or another DC source, making them ideal for mobile and off-grid applications.

Scotty AI was engineered to eliminate that frustration entirely. This Australian-designed dc dc battery charger treats your alternator as the precision thermal machine it actually is, mapping its unique characteristics before demanding full power transfer. For RV owners, marine vessel operators, and off grid power enthusiasts running demanding setups with lithium batteries, this represents the difference between a dual battery system that works reliably for years and one that destroys expensive components within months.

Additionally, Scotty AI prevents your auxiliary or solar-charged batteries from draining the main starting battery, ensuring your vehicle remains reliable and your battery system enjoys maximum longevity.

The promise is straightforward: faster charging, complete alternator protection, and maximum energy extraction from every kilometre driven or hour motored.

Why Scotty AI DC DC Charger Works

Here’s what separates intelligent charging from the destructive approach used by every conventional dc battery charger on the market:

  • Patented Auto-Tuning Algorithm – Maps your individual alternator’s sustainable output envelope before allowing full power transfer, ensuring the charger never demands more than your specific system can safely deliver

  • Variable Power Output – Continuously modulates charging current based on real-time conditions rather than operating in destructive binary on/off states that cause thermal spikes

  • Dedicated Alternator Temperature Sensor – Physical hardwired probe mounted directly on your alternator frame provides actual thermal measurement, not statistical guesswork

  • Bidirectional Power Flow – Transfers energy in both directions for complete dual battery setup management, powering low-side loads from your high-side lithium bank when the engine is off

  • WiFi App Interface – Configure and monitor through any smartphone browser without proprietary software, cloud accounts, or complicated pairing procedures

Instead of forcing your alternator to accept whatever load a fixed-power converter demands, Scotty AI gives you intelligent charging that extracts substantially more usable energy while keeping alternator temperature safely within limits.

This Video explains the AI Functionality

How Scotty AI Auto-Tuning Works

Getting optimal performance doesn’t require engineering expertise. The patented auto-tuning process handles the complexity automatically.

Step 1: Initial Setup and Connection

Installation follows a straightforward sequence designed for competent installers without specialist knowledge. For added convenience, the installation process is made even easier with a plug and play wiring kit or system, allowing quick and simple connections. Connect power cables to your main battery and auxiliary batteries, mount the included alternator temperature sensor directly on the alternator frame, and access the WiFi configuration interface through any smartphone or tablet browser. Enter your alternator specifications and system parameters through the clean web interface—no app downloads required, no Bluetooth pairing failures.

Step 2: Patented Auto-Tuning Process

This is where Scotty AI diverges fundamentally from every competitor. The auto-tune sequence doesn’t simply apply load and hope for the best. It increases demand in graduated steps—Soft Stage, Medium Stage, Hard Stage—while continuously monitoring alternator response and thermal behaviour.

The machine learning algorithm watches for the precise point just before your specific alternator begins to labour: the edge of its sustainable output envelope at that particular engine speed, temperature, and load condition. Once mapped, this envelope becomes the operating boundary for all subsequent charging.

Step 3: Intelligent Operation

With auto-tuning complete, Scotty AI operates continuously within your alternator’s proven safe zone. Variable power adjustment responds in real time to temperature rise, engine RPM variation, load fluctuations from other vehicle systems, and the changing acceptance rate of your lithium batteries.

The outcome is measurable: substantially more usable energy per kilometre driven compared to fixed-power dc chargers that either under-load your alternator or trigger thermal cutback.

What Makes Scotty AI Different

Most dc battery chargers focus on specifications. Scotty AI focuses on protecting the most expensive and mechanically vulnerable components in your charging system.

  • Variable Power Technology – Conventional battery chargers operate in binary states: full rated power or nothing. This step-change load causes the thermal spikes that destroy alternators. Scotty AI continuously modulates output, drawing more when conditions allow and pulling back instantly when temperature rises.

  • Physical Temperature Measurement – Competitors estimate alternator condition through voltage sensing or statistical models. Scotty AI measures actual temperature through a dedicated hardwired sensor, with configurable thresholds from 100°C default to 120°C for vehicles running hot under the bonnet.

  • Bidirectional Architecture – Power flows both directions through the same unit. Your high-side lithium bank powers low-side loads during camping without additional hardware, with intelligent cutoffs preventing overdischarge.

  • Master-Slave Scaling – For demanding applications requiring more than 3000W, two Scotty AI units operate as a coordinated system via CAN bus communication, delivering up to 6000W of intelligent bidirectional power across twin alternator installations.

  • Fully Sealed and Rugged – The charger is fully sealed to resist water, dust, and vibration, making it suitable for harsh and extreme environments.

  • Handles Demanding Applications – Built to handle the demands of challenging applications and environments, ensuring reliable performance where others may fail.

  • Australian Engineering for Harsh Environments – Designed and tested for the conditions that destroy overseas products: extreme heat, dust, vibration, and the thermal cycling of real mobile applications.

If conventional dc chargers offer complexity and risk, Scotty AI offers intelligence and protection.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does auto-tuning protect my alternator?

Conventional dc chargers apply full rated load immediately when conditions allow—a step-change that causes thermal spikes destroying alternator windings and regulators. Scotty AI’s patented auto-tuning applies load gradually through Soft, Medium, and Hard stages while monitoring alternator response. This maps the sustainable output envelope for your specific alternator at current temperature and RPM conditions.

Once mapped, the charger operates continuously within proven safe limits, with the dedicated temperature sensor providing real-time protection. If temperature approaches the configurable threshold, Scotty AI immediately reduces current before any damage occurs—then resumes charging when conditions improve.

What alternators are compatible with Scotty AI?

Scotty AI operates with virtually all alternator types including modern smart alternators with internal regulators that cause problems for conventional dc battery chargers. The auto-tuning process maps the specific behaviour of your alternator—whether traditional or ECU-controlled—establishing safe operating parameters regardless of alternator design.

For smart alternators that vary voltage and current based on engine load and emissions protocols, Scotty AI’s variable power operation maintains compatibility without triggering protective shutdowns that plague fixed-power chargers.

How much more efficient is variable power charging?

Real-world installations consistently demonstrate 20-35% more energy extraction per engine hour compared to fixed-power dc chargers of equivalent rating. This improvement comes from two sources: Scotty AI operates near the peak of sustainable alternator output rather than either under-loading or triggering thermal cutback, and the variable power approach maintains charging through conditions that force conventional chargers to shut down entirely.

For touring vehicles, this translates directly into fuller batteries from shorter driving periods. For marine vessels, it means reaching full lithium battery charge earlier in each motoring period.

Can I install Scotty AI myself?

Competent DIY installers with experience in automotive electrical systems can complete installation successfully. The process involves mounting the unit (compact size suits most installations), running appropriate gauge cables to main battery and auxiliary batteries, mounting the temperature sensor on the alternator frame, and completing WiFi configuration through the intuitive interface.

Professional installation is recommended for complex systems, twin alternator configurations, or installations where warranty considerations apply. Safiery maintains a dealer network across Australia providing installation and support services.

Does Scotty AI work with solar panels?

Scotty AI handles alternator charging and bidirectional power flow between battery banks. For systems incorporating solar input, a separate MPPT solar controller charges your high-side batteries, while Scotty AI manages alternator charging and power distribution across your dual battery system. The two systems complement each other without conflict, and CAN bus integration ensures coordinated battery management when compatible BMS systems are present.

What warranty coverage applies?

Scotty AI units carry manufacturer warranty from Safiery Pty Ltd, with direct technical support available for troubleshooting and system optimisation. Specific warranty terms and coverage details are available through Safiery or authorised dealers.

Professional-Grade Induction Countertop Stove: Cooking Without the Noise and Hot Spots

Safiery Induction Cooktop in outside slide

Professional-Grade Induction Countertop Stove: Cooking Without the Noise and Hot Spots

A true continuous power signal from 300W to 2000W means the base of your pan sees the same temperature everywhere—not a patchwork of hot cycles and cold gaps.

Induction countertop stoves heat pans directly through electromagnetic energy, resulting in faster cooking times compared to traditional gas or electric cooktops.

Induction cooking is also more energy efficient, as less heat is lost to the surrounding air. The surface of an induction cooktop remains cool to the touch, reducing the risk of burns and making it safer for households with children and pets.

This makes for a cleaner, more efficient kitchen appliance. Induction cooktops are easier to clean because spills do not get baked onto the surface, as it does not get as hot as traditional cooktops.

You can quickly adjust from a boil to a simmer, giving you precise temperature control. When evaluating induction countertop stoves, important criteria include energy efficiency, safety, ease of cleaning, intuitiveness, control options, and user interface design.

To use an induction cooktop, your cookware must be ferromagnetic—meaning it contains iron and has a strong magnetic attraction. Suitable cookware includes cast iron, enamel-coated iron, carbon steel, and magnetic stainless steel. Some manufacturers also offer aluminum or copper pans with a magnetized base for use on induction cooktops.

Introduction to Induction Cooking

Induction cooking has revolutionized the way both home cooks and professional chefs approach meal preparation. Unlike traditional electric cooktops or gas cooktops, induction cooktops use electromagnetic energy to heat pots and pans directly through a magnetic field. This innovative cooking process means that heat is generated only where it’s needed—at the base of your cookware—resulting in remarkably quick cooking times and precise temperature adjustments.

One of the standout features of induction cooking is its energy efficiency. Because the cooktop surface itself remains relatively cool and there’s minimal heat loss to the surrounding air, nearly all the energy goes straight into cooking your food. This not only speeds up the cooking process but also makes your kitchen more comfortable and safer. The ability to make instant temperature changes gives chefs and home cooks alike the control they need for delicate sauces or high-heat searing, all while enjoying the benefits of a cleaner, more efficient kitchen appliance.

Finally, an Induction Countertop Stove Built for Serious Cooks

If you’ve ever heard your induction cooktops clicking at low settings, watched your sauce scorch in one spot while staying cold in another, or noticed your marine electronics picking up interference during dinner prep, you already know the problem with conventional induction cooking. As a modern stovetop, the induction cooktop is designed to be an efficient and versatile cooking surface, but these issues can limit its effectiveness.

Most induction cooktops work by pulsing power on and off. To simulate medium heat or low simmer, they cycle the coil in rapid bursts—full power, then nothing, then full power again. It’s cheap to engineer but poor in performance. The result is uneven heating, electromagnetic noise, audible clicking, and food that scorches in one spot while staying cold in another.

The Safiery Induction Dual Hob 2000W does something fundamentally different. Using advanced smooth-power control circuitry, it delivers true continuous power across the full range from 300W to 2000W—with no pulsing, no switching noise, and no hot spots. Every watt is delivered steadily, consistently, and exactly where you want it. In addition to smooth power delivery, users often look for additional features such as preset cooking shortcuts, timers, and user-friendly controls to enhance convenience and usability.

At 94% energy efficiency, this isn’t just better induction cooking. It’s the cooking surface that marine vessel owners, RV travelers, and home cooks have been waiting for.

Why Safiery Induction Technology Works

Here’s what separates smooth power delivery from everything else on the market:

  • True Continuous Power – No pulsing or cycling, delivering steady 300W-2000W output across both cooking zones

  • Silent Operation – Eliminates the clicking and switching noise common in conventional electric cooktops

  • Even Heat Distribution – No hot spots or cold gaps across your pots and pans, from edge to centre

  • 94% Energy Efficiency – 2.4× more efficient than LPG gas cooktops, reducing battery drain and generator runtime

  • EMI-Free Design – Minimal electromagnetic interference for marine and RV electronics in densely packed environments

  • Inverter Power Matching – This induction has a maximum power limit of 2000W which matches most inverters. Domestic home inductions are generally 2400W+ which will trip most inverters.

Many induction countertop stoves feature automatic shut-off functions that activate when no cookware is detected, helping to prevent energy waste and enhance safety. Some models can automatically turn off if they detect overflowing liquid from a pan or if the cooktop gets too hot, preventing messes and potential hazards. These advanced safety features ensure that the induction cooktop can automatically turn off in situations where it is unsafe to continue operation, providing peace of mind and improved energy efficiency.

Instead of forcing you to work around temperature fluctuations and audible noise, the Safiery Dual Hob gives you restaurant-quality precision in a compact, efficient package built for demanding environments.

How Smooth Power Induction Works

Smooth no pulsing power from Safiery Double induction cooktop

Getting professional results doesn’t require complexity. The technology is straightforward once you understand what conventional induction cooking gets wrong.

Step 1: Advanced Power Control Circuitry

Conventional pulsing creates a square wave of energy—full power, then nothing, then full power again. Even at high frequency, this produces micro-variations in pan temperature that accumulate into real cooking problems.

Smooth power control eliminates the square wave entirely. The electromagnetic field remains stable at whatever level you’ve selected, creating consistent electromagnetic energy delivery to your cookware without interruption.

Step 2: Regulated Energy Delivery

The coil sees a regulated, stable energy draw across the full power range. Whether you’re at 300W for a gentle simmer or 2000W for high heat cooking, the magnetic field maintains uniform intensity.

This means your cast iron skillet or stainless steel pan heats evenly across its entire base. No temperature spikes during “on” cycles. No cold spots during “off” cycles. Just steady, predictable heat exactly where you need it.

Step 3: Consistent Cooking Results

The difference shows in every dish. Your sauce holds at a genuine low simmer without scorching. Your sear builds a proper Maillard crust from edge to centre. Proteins cook gently without weeping. Reductions concentrate evenly without separation.

This is what the keep warm function and warm setting should actually feel like—stable temperature without the risk of scorching or the need for constant temperature adjustments.

Induction Cooktop vs. Gas Cooktops

When deciding between induction cooktops and gas cooktops, it’s important to consider how each impacts your cooking experience and kitchen environment. Induction cooktops offer a smooth, cool-to-the-touch cooktop surface, which greatly reduces the risk of accidental burns—a key advantage for families and busy kitchens. The precise temperature control of induction means you can achieve consistent results, whether you’re simmering, sautéing, or boiling water.

Gas cooktops, while favored for their traditional open flame and visual feedback, tend to be less efficient, with much of the heat escaping into the air rather than being transferred to your cookware. They also require more effort to maintain and clean, as spills can burn onto grates and surfaces. In contrast, induction cooktops feature a flat, glass surface that can be easily wiped down with a soft cloth and mild detergent, making cleanup quick and hassle-free. For those seeking a safer, more efficient, and easier-to-maintain cooking solution, induction is a clear winner.

What Makes Safiery Different

Most kitchen appliances focus on features. We focus on the physics of heat transfer.

  • SAA Dual Certification – Both the cooktop and its smooth power circuitry carry independent SAA approvals (SAA-220357-EA & SAA-201744-EA), certifying the entire system meets Australian safety and performance standards

  • German Schott Ceran Surface – High-grade black crystal glass cooktop surface built to resist scratch damage and maintain clean lines for years of demanding use

  • True Slow-Cook Mode – Maintain a genuine low simmer at 300W without open flame risks or the cycling behavior that causes scorching in conventional induction

  • Total Fire Ban Approved – No open flame, no combustion—approved for outdoor use during Total Fire Ban conditions across Australia

Induction cooktops often feature child locks to prevent accidental changes to the control panel, enhancing safety in homes with children. Some models also offer preset cooking modes, such as hot pot, which simplify specific cooking processes and add convenience for users.

If other cooktops offer power boost function headlines, we offer the smooth power delivery that actually makes precision cooking possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from other induction cooktops?

Conventional induction cooktops pulse power on and off to simulate lower heat settings. You hear it as clicking, and you see it as uneven cooking. The Safiery Dual Hob uses smooth power control circuitry to deliver true continuous power from 300W to 2000W. No square wave energy pattern. No hot spots. No audible switching noise.

What cookware can I use?

Any ferromagnetic cookware works with induction: cast iron, magnetic stainless steel, and many modern induction-compatible pots and pans. Test your existing cookware with a magnet—if it sticks firmly to the base, your pan will work. Flat-bottomed, thick-based cookware delivers the best performance and heat distribution.

Is it really quieter than other induction cooktops?

Yes. Conventional units click every second or so at lower power settings as relays or power switches engage and disengage. The Safiery Dual Hob eliminates this switching entirely. You may still hear some coil hum at high power (common to all induction), but the audible clicking that defines most induction cooking is gone.

How much power does it actually save?

At 94% efficiency, you’re converting nearly all electrical input into cooking heat. Gas cooktops operate around 40% efficiency—most of that heat escapes into your galley or kitchen air. Conventional electric sits around 70%. In practical terms, this means less battery drain, shorter generator runtime, and lower operating costs over time.

Does it work during Total Fire Ban conditions?

Yes. No open flame, no combustion. The Safiery Dual Hob is approved for outdoor use during Total Fire Ban conditions across Australia—making it the only cooking option available when fire restrictions prohibit gas and solid fuel.

How do I clean the surface?

The German Schott Ceran glass surface cleans easily with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Because the cooking surface doesn’t get as hot as the pan itself, spills are less likely to bake on. Avoid abrasive cleaners to maintain the scratch-resistant finish.

Get Started with Professional Induction Cooking

If you’re ready to stop working around the limitations of conventional induction—the clicking, the hot spots, the temperature swings—the Safiery Induction Dual Hob delivers the smooth power technology that makes precision cooking possible.

Open Source Framework – Reduce the Install Cost by 50%

Open Source Framework- one system all on Matter

Open Source Framework- one system all on Matter

Why Your Boat (or Caravan) Is About to Get a Whole Lot Smarter

And why it won't cost you twice what it should.

If you’ve ever renovated a house, you know the pain of dealing with electricians, wiring, and switches that all need to “talk” to each other. Now imagine doing that on a boat or in an RV — where space is tight, weight matters, and salt air destroys anything that isn’t built tough.

For decades, marine and RV electrical systems have been a tangled mess of proprietary gear. Buy a battery monitor from one brand and it won’t talk to the charger from another. Want to add smart lighting? That’s a whole separate system with its own app. Before you know it, you’ve got four apps on your phone, three different displays on the wall, and a wiring loom that looks like spaghetti.

We think that’s broken. And we’re not the only ones.

What If Everything Just Worked Together?

A few years ago, the biggest names in technology — Apple, Google, Amazon, and Samsung — agreed on something for the first time. They created a shared language for smart devices called Matter.

Think of Matter like a universal translator. Before Matter, every smart device manufacturer spoke their own language. Your Philips lights spoke “Philips.” Your Bosch appliances spoke “Bosch.” Your Schneider power system spoke “Schneider.” None of them understood each other without expensive translators in between.

Matter changed that. It’s a single, shared language that any device maker can build into their products — for free. No licensing fees, no gatekeepers, no lock-in. That’s what “open protocol” means in plain English: anyone can use it, no one owns it, and every device that speaks it can talk to every other device that speaks it.

There are now over 2,000 Matter-compatible devices on the market, from household names like LG, Legrand, Schlage, Philips Hue, and Schneider Electric. And that number is growing fast.

So What Does This Mean for Your Boat or RV?

At Safiery, we’ve built our entire product ecosystem around Matter. That means when you install a Safiery system, you’re not locked into buying only our gear. You can mix and match from hundreds of brands — and it all works together seamlessly.

Here’s what that looks like in practice.

DC Power — The Heart of Any Off-Grid System

Most boats and RVs run on DC power — the same type of power that comes from your batteries. Our system handles everything on the DC side:

  • A 48-volt battery management gateway that monitors up to 10kW of battery capacity

  • USB power delivery up to 250 watts — enough to charge a laptop at full speed

  • DC-to-DC converters handling up to 3,000 watts for 12V and 24V systems

  • Fuseless power distribution — smart electronic protection that replaces old-fashioned fuse panels, saving weight and space

AC Power — When You Need Mains Electricity

When you’re plugged in at a marina or campground, or running an inverter, you need AC power too. Our system integrates both sides:

  • Smart AC power switches that mount in a wall or electrical panel, rated for 230V or 110V systems worldwide
  • A Matter Bridge that brings older, non-Matter devices into the ecosystem — so your existing Victron inverter or legacy equipment isn’t left behind

Coming Q4 2026: The Quasar Inverter Platform

We’re developing something we’re particularly excited about: a modular inverter system small enough to mount inside a wall cavity. Each module is just 200 × 120 × 50mm — roughly the size of a paperback book — and delivers 2,400 watts of pure sine wave AC power.

The clever part? They stack. Need more power? Add another module. Need redundancy so your system keeps running even if one unit fails? The N+1 architecture has you covered. Two modules give you 4kW with full redundancy — meaning one can fail and you won’t even notice.

Nine Ways to Switch — Because One Size Never Fits All

Here’s where the open ecosystem really shines. Because everything speaks Matter, you’re not limited to a single type of switch or control. We support nine different ways to control your system:

  1. IKEA smart buttons — affordable wireless switches you can stick anywhere
  2. Custom glass touch panels — for a premium, modern look
  3. Rubberised IP67 CAN switches — waterproof and built for harsh marine environments
  4. Traditional rocker switches — because sometimes familiar is best
  5. Bluetooth switches — no wiring needed at all
  6. Victron touch displays — if you’re already in the Victron ecosystem
  7. Amazon or Google smart displays — voice control included
  8. Any Matter-compatible switch from any manufacturer
  9. Our Quasar 3D display — an interactive touchscreen where you can spin a 3D model of your boat with your fingers and tap on any device to control it

The point is: you choose. Not us. Not a single manufacturer. You pick the switches, displays, and controls that suit your taste, budget, and environment.

The Real Headline: 50% Less to Install

All of this isn’t just about clever technology. It’s about cost.

Traditional marine and RV electrical systems require miles of heavy copper wire running from every switch back to a central panel. Every circuit needs its own fuse, its own wire run, its own labour hours. It’s expensive, heavy, and time-consuming.

Our system uses smart digital switching at the point of use. A thin data cable replaces bundles of heavy power cable. Intelligent electronic protection replaces mechanical fuse panels. And because everything communicates wirelessly or over a simple network, installation time drops dramatically.

The result? A 50% reduction in installed cost compared to traditional wiring approaches. That’s not a marketing number — it comes from real-world installations where we’ve measured the cable, the labour hours, and the total system cost.

Open Source Means You’re Never Locked In

We chose to build on open standards for a reason. If a better switch comes along next year from a brand that doesn’t exist yet, it’ll work with your system. If you want to add smart lighting from IKEA today and upgrade to custom glass panels tomorrow, go right ahead. Your system grows and changes with you.

That’s the promise of an open framework: hundreds of devices, all talking together, with you in control.

What exactly is Matter?

Matter is a manufacturer-independent connection standard for IOT. It is an open protocol and is listed on Github. Its goal is to simplify and improve the communication of devices. Matter (link) is intended to put an end to the tiresome search for compatible smart home products. Regardless of their origin, lamps, thermostats, plug adapters, sensors and other components can be combined with each other at will – as long as they comply with the Matter standard.

  • Lights (LED’s, lamps and switches)

Blockchain Technology used for Matter devices

The Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) supports and utilizes blockchain technology specifically through its Distributed Compliance Ledger (DCL). While Matter uses standard cryptographic suites (like AES-128) for the actual encryption of data packets, it relies on this blockchain-based ledger to ensure that only authenticated, non-tampered, and certified devices can join the network.

Open Protocol Benefits

There are over 2,000 other devices that are Matter compliant or about to be. You can integrate automation with any of these devices and the STAR controllers. Cameras and Imaging was introduced in November 2025 with the benefit that compliant cameras are under blockchain security so there is no chance of imaging “leaking out” to the internet. Privacy is assured.

What is the Multi-Admin mode?

One advantage of Matter over previous solutions such as Apple HomeKit or Samsung’s SmartThings is that lights, switches, sensors and other products can be accessed via multiple systems in parallel. They are no longer exclusively bound to one control system.

Apple, Google, Amazon and Samsung are all committed to communicate on Matter.
