1. Sprinter Van Camper needs the right amount of Energy/ Replenishment Power in the smallest of space.
- Run the air-con all night; even all day. Use the electric kitchen, even in a fire ban. Enjoy instant hot water.
- Energy consumed needs to be replenished every day.
- We do an Energy Analysis for you of what to expect based on what you want to operate.
- It is difficult to get a lot of solar on the roof of the van. We like to see 800W+ on the roof.
- However, a powerful DC DC that extract up to 250A from the alternator covers for lack of solar.
- The high power DC DC generally goes under passenger seat., saving space in rear.
- This DC DC, called Scotty AI protects the alternator with AI and does not, in any way, impact the warranty on the van.
- Under the the stringent AS/NZ 3001.2.2022 standards, lithium batteries must be installed externally. This would mean punching an access hatch into the side of the van which has to be sealed from the interior space. (all lithium chemistries.)
- Safiery holds a Gold Electrical Licence and must comply with the Electrical regulations and standards.
- Non compliance may mean insurance is void and the owner liable for third parties.
- However, Safiery supply Sodium Ion Batteries which comply with the regulations of being inside because of their low safety risk.
Sodium Batteries are Very Affordable
- Photo shows a Sodium Meteor battery under the seat in Sprinter build. These are 48V and totally waterproof.
- Meteor batteries plug together for a totally sealed finish. They can be placed side by side.
- Meteor batteries can have an external "on/off" button so there is no need to access the batteries to control or isolated.
- Meteor batteries integrate seamlessly with Scotty AI Meteor. This accepts 12V alternator input from vehicle's 12V system charging up to 125A from vehicle alternator. Don't be concerned if your alternator is not that big, Scotty AI will auto tune to suit.
- 1700Wh per battery (140Ah at 12V), these batteries are CANbus enabled - no Shunt needed with Victron system.

- Safiery created a high powered DC DC that is 12V to 48V or 24V to 48V. We call it Scotty AI. It extracts either 1500W or up to 3000W per hour. Thats up to 250A from the alternator.
- One hour charging is 3 hours of air-con.
- Load dump is possible with External Regulated 48V Alternator:
Should the target lithium battery being charged opens it’s relay, any contained energy is dumped and damages the power system significantly.
With Scotty AI the energy is reversed to starter battery as Scotty Ai is bi-directional. - Redundancy and Safer Operation if 48V battery system fails:
Vehicle system cannot operate critical electrical systems on 12V power.
With Scotty AI, the 12V systems continue to function. - There is no DC DC 48V to 12V built-in with external regulators. Inefficient Orion 48-12V have to be used in conjunction with a 48V Smart Battery Protect. This takes a lot more space internally.
With Scotty AI the smart battery protect is built-in as well as the 48-12V DC DC at 96% efficiency. - High Power Winch Support. The 48V Alternator cannot support 12V winch.
Scotty Ai can deliver up to 250A at 12V to support high power winches.

STAR-tank is a radar based tank level sensor that mounts at the top of the tank.
- Operates directly through non-metalic tanks
- In metal tanks a hole is cut and an SAE 5 holt bolt pattern used (industry standard)
- Accurate to 1mm
- Operates in Black and Grey Water. It is not affected by foam or gasses
- This model is battery operated with a taget 3 year life.
- Unit has "Long Range Bluetooth" that we have tested to 10m line of sight and 40m through metal layers in a typical van build.

This Cassette Toilet by Dometic has a recess under the handle that can accomodate STAR-Tank.
STAR-tank is a radar tank level sensor and operates directly through plastic, ABS, polycarbonate and other similar materials.
STAR-tank can read the height even if uneven with solids and give a reliable reading.
In the victron Cerbo GX, Tank alarms can be set.
Simply glue (optional supply) the aluminium base collar onto the plastic. The Sensor and top of the housing screws into the base collar.
Then when emptying the tank, STAR-tank will just sit in place.
